AFT MacroFlow
AFT MacroFlow is the most widely used wedgewire screen cylinder in the pulp and paper industry. AFT’s no-weld, riveted-wire design is recognized for its strength, slot accuracy and symmetry.
AFT provides MacroFlow cylinders for virtually all makes and models of pulp screens. Reinforced, high-strength designs are available for demanding applications. Headbox designs ensure string-free operation.
AFT MacroFlow is built using a patented manufacturing technique. Wires are riveted to the support structure, giving a stronger bond than welding. AFT MacroFlow owes its strength to experienced engineering using Finite Element Method analysis, fatigue testing of improved designs, and extensive real-world validation.

AFT has the widest selection of wires in the industry. This ensures maximum open area and capacity for every screening application. Some companies tilt cylinder wires to simulate different contour heights. This compromises performance and is therefore not practiced at AFT. AFT has a dedicated wire for each width and contour depth..
The AFT MacroFlow cylinder is available with proprietary AFT Durachrome® protection, the highest quality chrome surfacing in the industry. A prerequisite to extended product life, chrome is evenly distributed by anodes designed specifically for screen cylinders. AFT’s in-house chroming facility and continuing development of superior surface treatments ensures the highest quality chroming and re-chroming services.
