Alternative plate manufacturing techniques suffer from limitations in available groove volume, particularly for ultra-low refining intensity plate designs. As shown here, FINEBAR®'s superior groove geometry allows for very fine bar/groove patterns while maintaining high volumetric capacity and plate wear characteristics.

High hydraulic capacity within a given area of refiner plate surface is advantageous for both improved energy efficiency and improved quality benefits. The combination of increased number of bars at high volumetric capacity allows FINEBAR® to design plates that achieve lower refining intensities with reduced active refining diameters. Another demonstrated advantage has been the significantly improved plate life with our patented design.
