Conical refiners

FINEBAR® conical plate is the latest addition to diffusion-bonded refiner plate product family. Paper mills benefit from refiner plates that have an enhanced bar edge and a better wear life. This is now available for Metso JC and RF series conical refiners.

Studies show that low intensity refining produces stronger pulp and fewer shives. It also creates fewer fines, and incurs less fiber damage. Mill installations in Europe have demonstrated that the effectiveness and reliability FINEBAR® plate technology can also be extended to conical refiners.
