FINEBAR® Plates: Patented Technology

FINEBAR® plates represent a breakthrough in low-consistency refining technology. FINEBAR® improves paper quality and reduces the overall costs of production.  Hardwood pulps, mechanical pulps, and recycled fibers can all be dramatically improved.

FINEBAR® refiner plates are manufactured using a patented technology that has major advantages over plates produced by traditional casting, welding, or milling. Our plates are precision laser-cut, assembled, and diffusion-bonded – which produces very durable, yet fine bar patterns with high production capacity.

This unique and patented manufacturing technique creates patterns which provide:

• Pulp quality improvement
• Reduced energy consumption
• Longer plate life

Our products are available for all low-consistency disc refiners as well as Metso JC and RF series conical refiners.
